Saturday was an interesting day -- Jeremy and I purchased two pieces of farm equipment from Franzen's Sales and Service. Don't ask me what they are, but I do know they are for hay. The price was right so we are going to look at farming part of our land instead of renting it out. I also stopped by to see my Dad at work. After visiting for a while he put Landon on one of the toy tractors. Landon was so cute because he instantly grabbed the steering wheal and tried to move it! Had I known I would have found some bibs and a plaid shirt for Landon! I guess you can say Landon is now a farm boy!

Great Grandpa Hackman's Birthday Party
On August 15th, Landon's Great Grandpa Hackman turned 83 years young. To celebrate everyone got together on Saturday, August 16th at Grandma and Grandpa Hackman's house. What a perfect evening!
This has got to be my favorite picture! Even though Landon was in his pj's and ready for bed, he still had a smile for Great Grandpa!

I can stand!
This morning I put Landon in his crib so I could pick out his clothes and get him ready for his day. Landon has been trying so hard to pull himself up on things the last few days, and this morning he accomplished that task! He pulled himself right up and stood in his crib. He made it seem so effortless! I better add bubble wrap to my Wal-Mart list!

Landon's crawling...
Landon has officially been crawling for three weeks now. He started going forward and putting the motions together on July 21st. He was 7 months and 1 week old. Landon is loving his new world! He found that Elke's water bowl is a lot of fun as well as the flap on the VCR player! It is so incredible to watch him learn new things!

Pick that apple!
I was busy making supper the other night and to entertain Landon I let him play with a basket of fake apples that usually sits on an end table in the family room. I looked over at Landon and Elke, and Elke was staring intently at the basket of apples. After a triple take I realized why Elke was so focused on the basket of apples. She dropped her tennis ball in there, hoping Landon would pick that "apple." How funny, I had to snap pictures. A few minutes later, Landon tipped over the basket and Elke's ball went rolling. Elke brought it right back to Landon. I know Elke's thinking 'finally this baby can do something!'
