Little red wagon

When Landon was born we received a red wagon from some wonderful neighbors. They said, "Every little boy needs a red wagon." It's remained assembled in the box until recently. Landon is now old enough and the weather is finally turning nice that we have been able to use the wagon. Landon loves the wagon and does such a great job hanging on!

Landon always enjoys tools and helping assemble items!
Enjoying a ride on a beautiful day!

Come here Elke...

Today is Elke's 4th Birthday! Landon and Elke are becoming good friends. Over the weekend, Landon surprised us all by starting to call Elke when he wants her to come to him. Landon pats his leg, nods his head and says, "Woof, Woof." For the most part, Elke comes to him. Here is Landon calling Elke into the house last evening. It looks like Elke runs him over, but have no fear, Landon is ok!

Sorry I can't figure out how to turn the video :(

Our traditional Easter picture...

Last year Jeremy and a friend planted several trees on our property. One of the trees was planted directly in front of our house, and I can't wait for it to grow! The first picture is of Landon next to the tree on Easter Sunday last year, just a few days after we planted the tree. The second picture is of Landon next to the tree this Easter Sunday. I don't think the tree grew, but I think Landon did!

Happy Easter

Here are a few photos from Easter on Sunday. Landon got to meet Grandma's horses and seemed to really like them. He was a little shy at first and then warmed up. Landon tried hunting for Easter eggs, but was really more interested in watching the other kids walk around. I'm sure next year will be a different story!

farming

As I mentioned previously, Jeremy is going to farm 2 acres of our farm land. Here he is this afternoon, starting to work the land. Sorry it's a green tractor Dad - it was borrowed!
UPDATE: The crops are in. Now it's just sit back and watch the oats grow!

Easter Eggs

I have been making silk tie Easter Eggs for a few years now, and they are always a hit. They are so easy to make and every egg is so unique. You need 100% silk. It will not work if it is not 100% silk. I got a combination or silk ties, shirts, boxers, etc. from the Depot. Wrap the silk around the egg. Wrap a piece of white cotton (tee shirt or sheets work well) around the silk. I wrap a rubber band around the top of the egg. Fill the pot with water and add 3 tablespoons vinegar. Bring to a boil and boil 20 minutes. Let the eggs cool slightly and then take off the fabric. Aren't they beautiful!

Busy Saturday

Our Saturday started out with a visit to Grandma Virginia. Virginia is Jeremy's Grandma, Landon's Great Grandma. She just turned 84 years young last week and is residing at the Good Samaritan Home in West Union. She wanted a few simple things for her birthday. Chocolate, word search puzzles and music from the 40's. Check, check, check! We got her four CD's and she was so excited! How nice to bring her some joy. Landon thought it would be fun to play with her balloon. Thank goodness he didn't pop it!After a quick nap at home, we went to my Mom's house to play with cousins Eryn and Nolan who were also their visiting. Here are the boys eating their lunch, or as they were referred to in their high chairs, the twins!Grandma and Grandpa taking the kids out to check on the pond. It was a little difficult to get all the kids to look at the camera at the same time!
And Eryn with the Easter Eggs that her, Aunt Jodi and Grandma made.
Our Saturday evening ended with supper and good conversation with Tekippe's, our neighbors. They made some delicious chili, and Landon had fun playing in his new surroundings. Thanks guys! In between Grandma's and supper we also got groceries and cleaned the house. This was a busy Saturday and we all slept good last night!

Enjoying the spring weather...

Despite breezy conditions, the temperatures were in the 50's today. When Landon and I got home, I decided we should go out and enjoy the nice weather. We chose to play in the lower patio as it was a little more protected from the wind. Landon loves playing outside and we both can't wait for the weather to turn nice and stay nice.

On our way out, Landon passed by some of his baby toys. He thought he needed his push toy outside. For about 30 minutes he pushed this toy around as if it was his job! I wonder what he was thinking?

Cute little feet

I can't believe I haven't shared pictures of Landon's feet yet. Ever since Landon has been able to sit independently, he has crossed his ankles like this. To this day if you see Landon sitting (which is not very often) he will have his ankles crossed. When I was pregnant with Landon I never felt him kick very often. I am convinced it was because he always had his ankles crossed. I know someday he will no longer do this, but for now, I think it is adorable.

Feeling better

Landon spent Monday at home with Dad. When I got home from work, Landon was definitely feeling better. In fact, him and Dad played for most of the day. Landon thought it was fun to sit in/on his car that holds his blocks. Dad thought it was fun to push him around. Mom thought it was not a good idea....
