We like to spend our Saturday nights tearin it up...pizza and fall craft projects.  We're wild like that!

Crochet hats

Now that the weather is turning colder, I've been busy as can be crocheting hats.  Here are a few I have done lately.  Getting to do a girls hat is a special little treat - I love breaking out the pink and purple yarn.  For whatever reason, I've crocheted a lot more boys hats than girls hats.  If interested I am selling my hats for $20 each or 2 for $35.

How we spent a beautiful fall day

Aside from working on potty training {which is going amazing by the way!}, we also spent time soaking in the very best of mother nature.  Of course we raked and played in leaves, took a nice long stroll down the driveway, and posed for a few fall pics.  It doesn't get any better than this...

Potty training?

This weekend, we've worked on potty training.  That wasn't my intentions until yesterday afternoon.  I put Asher on the potty and he went.  I stripped him of any diapers, underwear or pants and let him run around the house with nothing on.  He had no accidents and even came up from playing downstairs to tell me potty.  Later in the afternoon we headed to my parents house with a diaper on.  He went once in his diaper and once on the potty.

This morning after Asher woke up, I did the same thing.  Most of the day however, he has had a diaper on.  Aside from going #2 right away this morning, he has had the same diaper on all day and has stayed completely dry.  He is not telling me when he has to go potty, but that's probably because I ask him about every fifteen minutes.

Needless to say, our potty has traveled everywhere with us this weekend.  Yay for potty training!  Can it really be this easy?

Our little piano player...

Our little guy is loving piano lessons so far.  I also finally scored a keyboard at the Depot for $5.  It might not be much, but it will work to practice on for now.  Here are a few shots from his practice session the other night.

I love to hear Jer reminisce about his old band days.  Reading music is coming back to him like riding a bike.  I guess some things you never forget.

And a couple videos of our little piano player.

Office tour

We recently purchased a new desk for our office.  I eyed this baby up for about a week and a half before I purchased it.  I don't know what took so long, but I'm sure glad we got it.  I absolutely love it.  It's solid, heavy, old and just screams pottery barn.  It fits right in at our house.

So with that said, here's a little tour of our office.  It sits right off of our living room on the main level of our house and we actually use this room quite a bit.  Enjoy the tour!

Hope you enjoyed the tour of our office.  If you have any questions about anything I will do my best to answer.  Thanks for stopping by!

Kindergarten class field trip

I had the privilege to go with Landon and his class on their very first field trip of the year.  They had a fun filled day of going to the Waukon park where they got to play and eat their sack lunch, and then it was off to Peake Orchards.

It was a perfect fall day and I was so excited to join Landon and his friends at the park.
I've heard it before, but this playground is amazing!

The two South Winneshiek kindergarten classes stopped to pose for a picture.
Time for a sack lunch.  I pack Landon's lunch almost everyday, but for some kids, this was a real treat.  They were so excited to see what was packed in their lunch bags.
And then it was back on the bus to head to the apple orchard!

As soon as everyone got off the bus, we all got on the hay wagon and headed out to the orchard.  There they talked about "fake" apples and how they spray for bugs...
and talked about the different varieties of apples they have.
We even saw a few cows along the way.
After a tour around the orchard, we headed back to learn how they package, store and sell their apples.

The kids then got in a few stories and even some samples.

What a fun kindergarten trip.  I think Landon's class had fun...
I know we both did!
