Happy Birthday Nolan

Last night we attended a birthday party for my nephew Nolan! He turned 2 on November 28th. Nolan had a Thomas themed party. Nolan had fun opening his gifts and playing with his guests. I hope Landon was paying attention because his birthday party is two weeks away!

Last weeks painting project

I know, I usually type about Landon, but this is a family blog after all! I took a few days off of work last week and painted our bedroom and bathroom. The bad news - this is my 4th paint color in 4 years. The good news - I think I finally like it this time! The color I used is called Argos from Sherwin Williams. It is supposed to be a true gray although I think it has a blueish tint. Never the less, I am satisfied.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

It was a Thanksgiving with many firsts this year. The First Thanksgiving for Landon and our (Jeremy and I's) first time hosting Thanksgiving. This means it was our first time making a turkey. Jeremy was in charge of the turkey, and it was delicious. We have so many things to be thankful for this year and not a day goes by that I'm not grateful for all that I have. Happy Thanksgiving!

I didn't get the beautiful shot of the turkey as it came out of the oven, but it still looks good!

Landon and Great Grandma Hackman relaxing after the big meal!

Grandma Merrill letting Landon feed himself dessert! Needless to say- he loved it!

Landon taking his 4 hour post turkey nap! Dad's nap was a little shorter.

Jump, jump!!

I have no idea where he learned this, but Landon thinks he can jump. Not much else to say, except get ready for a chuckle!

11 months old

Landon is 11 months old! Landon is so much fun right now. He has his own little language that he babbles in all the time. He has 4 teeth - two on the top and two on the bottom. Although he acts like he's working on more, I can't feel anything. Landon is not walking yet, but getting very brave at standing on his own. He is so fast at crawling, and is a speed racer with his push toys! He practically runs while pushing them. When he runs into a road block he picks up the toy, moves it and carries on.

Landon is great at making messes!

And loves cleaning them up!

Landon also loves putting things where they don't belong!

First hair cut...

It was finally time to say good-bye to the mullet and give Landon his first hair cut. Have you recently tried to cut the hair of a 10 1/2 month old? Easier said than done! Jer and I both attempted to "tackle" this one. With that said, Landon probably just received the worst hair cut he will ever have in his life. But it's done, it's over and it looks -- ok. As always, the key was distraction. It's difficult though when something is buzzing in your ear. Jer kept insisting that we just buzz it. He said I made him nervous with the scissors. I think he's jealous his son has more hair then him. We compromised and tried both ways. The end result. Well, you be the judge!
