Cute little toes

I love the fact that babies are so flexible and can get their toes in their mouths.  Despite all the rolls, Asher can and loves to suck on his toes.  Don't you just want to pinch those thighs!

And who can resist big brother sneaking a kiss in!  Gosh I love these kids!

Merrill Christmas

On Christmas Day, we headed over to Jeremy's Mom's and her friend Mike's house.  What a beautiful day it was.  While I was a little sad to have a "brown" Christmas, it was a very pleasant day outside.  The day was filled with family, food, and laughter.  What more can you ask for?!
Landon enjoyed opening more presents.
As did Asher =)
Beyond the food and presents, we took the time to remember what Christmas is all about.  We are blessed beyond our means and will forever be grateful for the birth of our Savior!  Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Santa arrived...

When we got home from my parents on Christmas Eve night, I read Twas the night before Christmas, just as I have done since Landon was born.  And just like Landon's first Christmas, Asher slept through it as well.  Landon had lots of questions before he went to bed. Mostly, I reassured him that Santa would come when he was sleeping.

Thinking Landon would be excited on Christmas morning, he woke up and carried on just as if it were any other day.  After being up for about 10 minutes, I asked Landon if he thought Santa came.  He said, "Yay, he did.  I saw the presents under the tree when I got up."  Landon got a few bites into his breakfast and then thought it might be time to check out what Santa brought.

Not only did Landon get to open his presents, he got to open Asher's as well.  He was pretty excited.
Landon loved his wood truck...
but instantly fell in love with his bat cave.
And some how, Mommy ended up on the nice list. Santa got her the Canon Rebel T3!  So pumped!

Sabelka Christmas

On Christmas Eve, we got together with my family. It was such a fantastic afternoon/evening, it was sad when it came to an end.  Here are a few pics to highlight the day.

Holiday baking

While Asher took a super big nap this afternoon, Landon and I got busy doing some holiday baking.  I loved spending this one on one time with Landon.  He had fun helping, but I think he had more fun eating!

Meeting Santa

As you can tell, somebody wasn't too excited to meet Santa.  Lucky for Landon, he has a little brother he can now use for a pon.  "Asher can sit on Santa's lap.  I'll stand over here."

On Thursday night, we went up to Christmas in Calmar.  I just took the boys to see Santa because it was so windy out.  Landon told Mrs. Claus he wants a rocket thing that has a big arm and moves rocks.  What???  I'm not sure Santa knew that a few weeks ago when she he was doing her his Christmas shopping!

Even though there were so many other activities going on in Calmar, we just made a quick stop by Grandpa Sam before wrapping up.  He was hanging out by the Fire Departments decorated six wheeler handing out goodies to those that walked by.  It was so cold and windy that Asher stayed in the car.

Rolling over

Why so sad Asher?  You just rolled over all by yourself!  I was getting supper ready when I looked over and squealed for joy!  I told big brother Landon that Asher was about to roll over and he did!  Unfortunately, Asher must have gotten scared :(  I didn't slow him down later, he has rolled over about half a dozen times tonight!

Fun in the tub

We were a little short on time the other night, so both boys got to take a bath at the same time.  Yes, it was a little interesting, and funny, but we got the job done, and they both seemed to have fun!
Asher loves baths.  He kicks his little heart out, gets Mom all wet, and then sucks on his toes.  At least their clean, right?!
Landon has never been super excited to take a bath, but once he's in there, he has fun playing.  He absolutely hates getting his hair/face washed however.

Happy 4th Birthday Landon!

I can't believe my "baby" turned 4 yesterday!  We of course celebrated last Saturday night with a birthday party.  Click here for the recap.  On the day of Landon's birthday, we had just as much fun!  As soon as Landon woke up, it was time to lay on the birthday music.  Landon quickly stated it wasn't his birthday yet because he had one more circle left.  He was referring to his birthday countdown.  Click here for the recap.  As soon as we took that last chain off, Landon was so excited for his birthday.

It was a routine kind of day with daycare and work, but it was out of the ordinary for Daddy to pick up the boys from daycare.  I had a board meeting so Jer picked up the boys and later came to Decorah to meet me.  We played it low key and went out for pizza.
These pics were taken  after we got home, so don't pay attention to the crazy hat hair!  We love you so much Landon and can't wait to see what the next year brings.  Happy 4th Birthday T!

Where did this picture come from?

I was downloading pictures from my camera to the computer, and this picture showed up.  This is Landon probably around 1 year old.  I am not one for saving pictures on my camera.  I download and delete, so I have no idea how it showed up.  Not to mention, I have taken hundreds, literally hundreds of pictures since then.  I don't even know for sure if I had this camera when Landon was this age.  I'm thinking I got it right around that time, but seriously, is this weird or what?

Landon's Birthday Party

My baby is going to turn four this week, so we celebrated this weekend with a party!
It started off kind of rough - despite my best efforts to wake Landon up, he was still napping when everyone started to arrive. (It had only been a 3 hour nap)
Daddy was able to get Landon up and change him into his birthday clothes.  He was not a happy camper though...
It took a little bit, but he finally came around!  We enjoyed some Lasagna and other goodies and then it was time to open some birthday presents.  Landon got so many wonderful presents from his family.  At one point Landon turned to me and said, "This is exactly what I hoped for."  What a hunny!!

And what's a party without cake?  For weeks, Landon has said he wanted a batman cake.  Auntie Jo Jo and I did our best.
Happy "early" 4th Birthday to my T-Man!
