Playing in the closet

Two things that Landon loves in the morning are

1. Mommy drying her hair
2. Playing in Mommy's closet

Landon loves to hide behind the clothes and swish them back and forth. Landon also loves to play with shoes. By playing I mean banging the shoes against the clothes, the shelves and the door. Here is Landon caught in the act!

Baptism

Yesterday, Landon was baptized at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville, Iowa. It was a wonderful afternoon and most of our close family was able to attend. Landon was a great sport and didn't cry at all during the ceremony. Everyone joined us at our house for a late lunch and some socializing. Thanks to everyone who was able to make it, you made the day memorable!

Landon's sponsors were his Aunt Jodi and Uncle Randy.

Dad, Landon and Mom

Great Grandma Miller, Dad, Landon, Mom, Great Grandma Hackman and Great Granpa Hackman. Landon's Great Grandma Merrill is in a nursing home in West Union and was not able to attend.

Snoozing in the high chair

I never really understood why the highchair had a recline position, until Sunday night. Landon was eating supper and next thing I knew he was snoozing. Jeremy said Landon was living every man's dream right there. Jer thought Landon wouldn't sleep very long so I should just leave him. Well he must have been comfortable because an hour later I needed to wake him up. He then continue to sleep on my lap until I got him ready for bed. After a bottle he was back asleep and slept until 6 am!

9 months old

Landon is 9 months old today!
I've said it once and I'll say it again - where did the time go? Everyone said it would go by fast but seriously did it have to go this fast?

Landon has many favorite things at 9 months old. One of them - paper!

Getting faster everyday, Landon love's pushing this toy around the house!

Caught in the act - Landon loves playing with all the stereo dials in the armoir.

Also, loves playing in the dishwasher.

So far Landon only has two bottom teeth but the top two are on their way. Landon loves turning the noi, noi sideways in his mouth and chewing on it. Other loves include gerber puffs, being held, squirming while being held, watching people, clapping, saying "Oh," Elke's food bowl and water dish, and the hair dryer. Yes, the moment he hears me start drying my hair in the morning he crawls to the bedroom and sits and smiles the whole time I dry my hair! These are just a few things standing out while I write this. At 9 months old, Landon is such a happy baby. Throughout the day I find myself thinking about his laugh and I can't help but smile. What a joy!

New daycare

Today was Landon's first day at his new daycare. Landon will now be going to Bernice's house in Fort Atkinson. I think I was more nervous then anyone, but it went great! Landon took two big naps today, and was still tired at his usual bedtime. I think he had a lot to take in. I'm sure things will continue to go well and Landon will be learning all sorts of things from the big kids! Thanks to everyone who was thinking of us today!

Row, row, row your boat

Last Sunday I had some "girl" time and went shopping with Aunt Jodi, Aunt Cathy and Cousin Eryn. Landon got to spend some quality time with his Grandma Merrill. While at Grandma's, Landon learned how to clap his hands. While it is still only to "Row, row, row your boat" it sure is cute! Here is Landon clapping to the beat.

Also, take note of Landon's shirt. It say's "make me smile." I thought it was quite appropriate this morning as Landon decided to start his day at 4:30 a.m. We will all be happier once those top two teeth finally pop through!
