Digging potatoes

Today, we went over to my parents house so Landon could help Grandpa dig potatoes.  Landon was so excited, he even brought his own shovel.
In case you don't remember, Landon and Elke helped Grandpa dig potatoes last year too.  You can check that out here.  Here they are showing off this year's crop.  Grandpa had already dug some potatoes earlier in the morning, but still said this year's crop was not very good.
After all their hard work, it was time for play.  Of course that meant a little ride in the tire swing.  Landon loves that thing.  Happy Sunday!

Three sleeping kids...

One sleepy head...
two sleepy head...
three sleepy head.
Everyone is sleeping.  I should be doing something productive like working out, writing my matron of honor speech, cooking/baking something.  But no, here I sit addicted to pinterest.  I think I may be obsessed.  It takes a bit to get the hang of it, but once you do, it is AWESOME!  You can organize all your ideas into spot.  If only time and money were unlimited so I could fulfill all these dreams...

Sleep - Are we getting any?

Yes, and lots of it!  Asher started sleeping in his crib about a week ago. But before I go there, rewind a little bit.  Asher went from sleeping through the night to waking up about a half a dozen times between 3 am and 5 am.  Whenever I went into his room to give him his paci, he was all crooked in his car seat.  It was time to make the switch from sleeping in his carseat to sleeping in his crib.  Aside from that, he hasn't vomited for a few weeks, so I was feeling ok with his laying flat on his back.
The transition actually went really well.  But, he still woke up and wanted his paci from 3 am - 5 am.
Unfortunately, I needed to let him fuss a little bit so he could learn how to soothe himself.  That was way to easy, and it only took one night.
He is now a happy baby that sleeps from 7:30 or 8:00 pm, until 6:00 am without making a peep.  How did I get so lucky to have such a happy baby!
I should mention this radio helps.  He loves noise, so sleeping with the radio on static puts him out like a light!

What have we been up to?

So it's been about a week since I last blogged.  I guess not much new going on here.  I worked a full five day work week this past week.  *Gasp*  I have to admit, I didn't love it.  Oh well, that's reality.  On top of that, we had something going on every-single-night this past week.  No kidding.  Jeremy was going here, I was going there and somehow the kids still managed to be fed and got baths!  It's Sunday, and we are finally all together.  Oh, to dream about now having to do this all over again next week.

For now, it's raining outside and Jeremy and Asher are napping.  Landon and I just finished baking chocolate chip cookies and are settling in to watch a movie.  Just so you know they are both still alive and doing well, here are a few photos of the boys I took earlier this afternoon.

Girl burpies

I recently got to sew burpies for a special little girl.  I have to admit, it was so much fun picking out pink fabric...Let's hope Momma likes, here's the end result.

Bath tub fun

I've mentioned before how much Asher loves bath time.  Here is a little video of him trying to swim away!
All bundled up after his bath!

My boys :)

The weather the past few days has been incredible, to say the least.  We've been enjoying our meals on the deck in the evenings and then staying outside until the sun sets.  Here are a few photos I took of the boys the other night as we were chillin' outside.

2 months old

Today, Asher is 2 months old.  He is growing so much!  When I had him in for his check last week, he weighed 14 pounds even, and was 23 inches long.  What a healthy boy!  He also got shots at his appointment which did not go well at all.  He was fussy for a good 24 hours before finally feeling better.
Asher is a good sleeper.  He likes his naps in his swing or carseat, and still sleeps in his carseat at night.  He was diagnosed with acid reflux, and is still vomitting somewhat frequently.  I am in no hurry to have him sleep flat in his bed as this makes me extremely anxious. For now, he is sleeping in his carseat in the crib.  Asher has slept through the night the last 3 nights in a row.  He has done it several other times, but never two nights in a row until now.  Hoping it continues!

Asher is smiling all the time, and is a happy little guy.  He is just such a blessing and we love him so much!

Labor Day Sunday

On Labor Day Sunday, we did anything but labor.  After a wonderful nights sleep (that's right, Asher slept through the night), we headed off to church.  Once again, Pastor Ed had an amazing sermon.  After church, we headed home to change quick and then Landon and I had a date.  Jeremy stayed behind to plug away at some things on the to do list, and Asher headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a couple hours.  I was really feeling the need for some one-on-one time with Landon, so we headed to the movies.
There were a whopping 4 people in the theater, counting Landon and I, so it was like we had our own private showing of Cars 2.  I wanted to take Landon when it first came out, but I was afraid of going into labor at the theater.  And then I had Asher, and there wasn't time.  They brought back Cars 2 just for the weekend and I was excited to hang out with Landon for the afternoon.  He even held my hand walking out of the theater! :)

After the movie, we picked up Asher and headed home.  There was a clay pigeon shoot going on at our house and we were excited to watch.  Seriously, can't you see the excitement...
This was so much fun to watch.
We wrapped up the night by grilling out and enjoying some time with some great friends and family.  It was a fantastic day, and I had some really tired boys by the time the sun set.  This is what it's all about!
