Oh how he loves the water...

Normally, Asher is go go go.  As soon as I start filling the sink with water, he quickly pushes up a chair and  will seriously play for hours in the water if you let him.  Don't worry, I haven't let him, but it does make for some great bonding time while I whip up supper.

The Gym

Continuing with the basement tour, here is one of my favorite rooms in the house, the gym.  This room will be changing as soon as we move Asher to the basement, however, we will probably just switch and move the gym upstairs.  I have to admit, I'm not looking forward to having exercise equipment on the main floor, mostly because it's a nice getaway down stairs, but I think the time will come when Asher will want to be by his brother.  Also, since Asher is an extremely light sleeper (hello 5 a.m.!) having his room in the basement would have it's advantages.

Seriously, how does this keep happening?

Unlike his brother, Asher loves the water.  If giving him a bath, you must get him undressed before starting the bath water.  Otherwise, he's getting in whether you like it or not!  Seriously, you think I would learn by now!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to you! This morning has been filled with even more hugs and kisses than usual, pink milk, a bite of chocolate after breakfast, a few rounds of go fish, and a drive to school rather than a ride on the bus.

The treats were packed, and I drove Landon to school to personally deliver his Valentine's for his friends and teachers this morning.  It's a special day for Landon, sharing his love with new friends this year.  And it's an unusual Valentine's day for little bro, spending the bulk of the day away from big bro.  My loves are in great company, however.  Tonight, we will settle in for a simple meal, pop in a movie and snack on some chocolate.  After parent teacher conferences that is.  :)  Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day box

On top of prepping Valentine's for his classmates, we also ma ade a box for Landon's friends to put Valentine's for him in, if they so choose.

It was a pretty simple concept, and we started by wrapping a shoe box in brown craft paper.  The type A in me wanted to decorate the whole box.  I had visions of a cute little banner spelling out Landon's name.  Cutting out some hearts from some adorable Valentine's paper I got at Hobby Lobby and making a perfect slit in the top of the box.

My independent 5 year old had other plans and took over all aspects of decorating.  It is his box after all, and it turned out exactly the way he hoped.  If my baby's happy, Momma's happy!

Show me s'more love!

We've been busy prepping for Valentine's Day around here.  This Valentine's Day is extra special, because Landon has a lot of new friends to share his love with at school.  We whipped up these Valentine's not just for Landon to share with his friends at school, but also to share with family and friends at daycare.
Not a surprise I found this free printable through pinterest.  You can find it by clicking here.

I think Landon's hand started getting tired from signing his name so many times. :)
