Jail bird...

Going through Landon's clothes I found this cute little hat that he never wore and thought it was probably to small already. I put it on and it fit, so we had a cute little photo session. Doesn't he look like I locked him up! The stripped shirt was purely coincidental.

Do I look pretty?

Trying to get ready in the morning with a one year old opening every drawer in the bathroom can be a bit of a challenge. The solution, let him play with your beads. Landon loves them. Without even showing him, he put them over his head and began to walk around. The only trouble is they are long and his feet get tangled up in them. Oh, and, they don't match his pajamas!

Skin update

Landon completed his first round of antibiotics for the rash on his cheeks and it didn't seem to clear up much of anything. I called the Dr. back and she said she would like him to try another form of antibiotic and see a dermatologist. We just started the next round of antibiotics so we'll see how that goes. Our dermatologist appointment is not until March 25th.

Eryn's silliness

Last Saturday Landon and I went to the Sabelka's for a Taste of Home Party. Eryn was being silly and asked that I take her picture. Isn't she cute! She thought she was pretty funny when she looked at the picture on the screen!
Eryn then asked if she could take some pictures. Eryn took the next two pictures without any help. Didn't she do a great job!

7 teeth

I know you can only see a few teeth in this photo, but Landon now has 7 teeth! Landon's new tooth just recently broke through and there are more on the way.

How could I be so dumb...

Please tell me someone else out there has done this. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but this morning (already running late) I backed out of the garage before the garage door was completely up. The garage door stopped, so I pushed the opener button and the door went up. However, I couldn't get it back down because one of the wheels came off the track. Luckily there was no damage to the car and no serious damage to the door (one small dent on the inside of the door). I called Jer to come home from work and help which he did. He got the door down temporarily and fixed the door completely after he got home from work tonight. What a great husband. Seriously, what was I thinking...

Bad Elke...

I walked in the door this evening and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Seriously not again...this time, Elke got the cupboard door open and found the garbage. Or maybe I forgot to shut the door. Either way, there was garbage all over my kitchen floor. It appears she has a thing with being mischievous on Tuesdays. We'll see what next week brings...

Hackman Christmas

On Saturday we celebrated Christmas with my Mom's side of the family, the Hackman's. My Mom's family is fairly large, so when we all get together it is about 40-50 people. My aunt and uncle just built and moved into their new house and we all had more than enough room. Their house is gorgeous! Landon had a lot of fun being passed around. It seems like I didn't see him for most of the night because he was playing with somebody or being held by another person. I do love my big family!

Dr. appointment

As many of you know, Landon has had little red bumps on his cheeks for months now. Initially we were told he had dry skin. We've tried every lotion under the sun, including a prescribed steroid lotion. Landon has a humidifier in his room and we limit the number of baths and the length of bath times, but nothing was helping. Landon's Dr. thinks now he might have a skin infection and is treating it with antibiotics. Landon took his first dose last night and did very well. If his cheeks don't clear up in two weeks we will try one more antibiotic. If they still don't clear up after that we will have to go see a dermatologist. Let's hope this helps!

This one's for the record books

Seriously, it was negative 40 degrees this morning. Brrr...

Mommy and daddy's new toys

Jer and I did not exchange Christmas gifts this year, but we did decided to use our Christmas money to buy something for ourselves. We almost felt guilty spending money on ourselves, but we got over that pretty quickly! Jer bought the ipod touch 2nd generation, and I bought a new camera. How exciting!

13 months

Landon is 13 months old today. I'll say it again- I can't believe another month has gone by. Landon is now running all over the house, although sometimes his feet get tangled and he falls. Most of the time he gets right back up and takes off running again. Landon has 6 teeth and is definitely working on more! Landon is started to like certain foods and dislike others. Dislikes peaches, likes any kind of vegetable. Landon loves to read books over and over and over!
Every now and then you can catch Landon playing with his own toys.
Most of the time Landon likes to play with things he is not supposed to!

Every dog has her moments

I know I always brag Elke up to be such a great dog, but she does have a mischievous side...I walked in the door tonight and the door hit the lid to the treat container. I called Elke's name several times and she wouldn't come to the door. We both knew she did something she wasn't supposed to! Elke managed to snap the lid off the treat container and drag items out. The sad part, she didn't even eat the treats! She is so picky! The bags were left unopened with the exception of one bag, and even that one she didn't eat. Elke loves to be outside in the winter time, but it's hard right now when it's 35 below. We all can't wait for the weather to warm up!

Shoes...

Landon has been walking for a while now and I decided it was time for him to start wearing shoes. Landon has been wearing these wonderful leather slippers called Robeez. They are great, but it's time to put on the "big boy" shoes!
However, I noticed Landon had other plans for his shoes!
They were really cute, but a little big, so we got a new pair of shoes out and we were ready to go!

Happy New Year!

Here are Landon and Elke ringing in the New Year. We enjoyed watching the Hawk's play in the Outback bowl, lounging and eating all day! Landon didn't love the tiara, Elke surprisingly didn't mind it. Landon loved the party horns, Elke didn't!

Bathroom...

All you Mother's know, when the child is quiet they are up to something right?! Well, here is what Landon was up to. I stopped him before he unraveled the whole roll. It was kind of cute!
